How to Apply
Olga's Relief Therapy Tape
Applying Olga's
Relief Therapy Tape is easy, and should require only a few
moments of your time.
Please carefully read and follow these simple steps and the Cautions
completely before applying Olga's Relief Therapy Tape.
|
• Be sure your skin is clean and
dry. Lotions, creams or other such ingredients or materials
may actually reduce the adhesion and effectiveness of the
product.
• When peeling the backing away
from the tape try not to touch the adhesive on the back any
more than necessary. Touching the backing can leave oil residues
from the fingers on the adhesive and diminishes the adhesive
ability to hold the therapy tape to the skin.
• It is always best to first peel
away the backing on one corner of the tape only. Apply the
exposed corner of the tape to the skin, and while peeling
away the remainder of the backing paper, apply the tape to
the skin. |

How to Apply and Remove Olga's Relief.
STEP 1.
1. Using one of the short length tapes (there are 2
in the package), lay the tape over the stomach where
it will be applied, as seen in the illustration. When
you have the right spot, separate a corner of the backing
paper by peeling it away from the backing. Apply one
corner of the therapy tape to the skin and continue
to apply the full length of the tape as you peel away
the backing paper.
2. You will find therapy tape to be elastic. DO NOT
stretch the tape while applying. Therapy tape works
best as it stretches with the movement of the stomach
muscles as you inhale and exhale.
3. Inhale, flatten your stomach, and hold your breath
while applying this piece of tape. This should only
take a moment. After applying, exhale and relax.
4. After applying the first piece of therapy tape,
rub the tape with your finger to be sure it is applied
fully to the skin and adheres properly. |
 |
 |
STEP 2.
1. Following the same procedure you used to apply the
first piece of therapy tape, hold the second short
length tape over the the lower stomach where it will
be applied, as shown in the illustration. When you
have the right spot proceed using the same directions
as in Step 1. |
 |

|
STEP 3.
1. Using the longer length piece of therapy tape (there
is 1 in the package), hold the tape over the lower
back - below the waist line - where it will be applied
(as shown in the illustration). This normally requires
two hands reaching behind the back, which is why it
is best to locate the application spot before peeling
away the backing paper and starting to apply the tape.
2. Bend slightly forward and exhale to extend the back
while applying this piece of tape. This should only
take a moment. After applying, stand upright and relax. |

Olga's Relief therapy tape is water resistant, so you need not
worry about wearing it while bathing, taking a shower, or exercising.
After bathing or showering, it will take an additional minute
or two for the cotton material of the therapy tape to dry - a
bit longer than it takes your skin to dry. However, the tape
will dry quickly and you should not experience any difficulties.
For the first few minutes you may feel the therapy tape stretch
in and out while your body moves normally. Do not be concerned.
Olga's Relief therapy tape is designed to stretch and contract
with the skin and will not add any undue tension to the skin
while it does so. In a few minutes you will become comfortable
with the movement of the therapy tape and forget you are wearing
it.
CONGRATULATIONS, you have now completed applying Olga's Relief
therapy tape! You can now go about your normal daily, or
evening, activities without concern.
REMOVAL:
Olga's Relief therapy tape is designed
to be worn up to 3 or 4 days. After that period of time,
you will want to remove it. We do not recommend wearing Olga's
Relief Therapy Tape longer than 4 days. If you continue to
have symptoms after 4 days after the beginning of your menstrual
period, you should remove the tape and consult your medical
professional. This may be a sign of "Secondary" Dysmenorrhea
and may require professional diagnosis and treatment.
1. It is best if you can wet the tape before removal. It
is not required that the tape be wet for removal, but wetting
the tape may reduce any discomfort when separating the adhesive
from the skin.
2. Remove the tape slowly to avoid any rough pulling of the
skin while the therapy tape separates from the skin.
3. It can be helpful to use one finger to hold your skin,
as you use your other hand to remove the tape from your skin.
Olga's Relief therapy tape is similar to a common first-aid
bandage. The sensation of removing Olga's Relief therapy
tape will be similar to the sensation of removing a common
first-aid bandage.
